An official from the Department of Public Enterprise is to meet the Knock Airport board to discuss Government funding. The move follows a meeting of Mayo's five TDs with the Minister for Public Enterprise, Ms O'Rourke. Concern has been expressed in Mayo over the recent announcement that a new airport is be constructed outside Galway.
