Dublin 1-16 Louth 0-8:Ciarán Kilkenny gave another great display of scoring as Dublin proved far too strong for Louth in the final of the Leinster under-21 football championship at Páirc Tailteann in Navan tonight.
The Castleknock dual player scored 1-7, with just one point coming from a placed ball, as Dublin won by 11 points.
Kilkenny scored a goal in the first minute and Dublin never gave up their advantage, leading 1-7 to 0-4 at half-time, with Kilkenny scoring 1-2 and Paul Hudson knocking over two points. It could have been a lot worse for Louth as Dublin were guilty of some poor shooting, with eight wides and a number of goal chances missed.
Despite playing into the wind in the second half, Dublin kept up their scoring blitz, with Kilkenny hitting his side’s first five points to stretch the lead to 1-13 to 0-6.
March Schutte went on to score his second point of the game before Harry Dawson knocked over two late on to complete the scoring.
