Israeli soldiers shot from Jordan

Jerusalem - Two Israeli soldiers were lightly wounded yesterday by gunfire from across the border with Jordan, the Israeli army said. The soldiers, who were shot at while on patrol in the Jordan Valley, returned fire, the army said in a statement. The two casualties were taken to hospital. It was the first shooting incident on the Jordanian border in 17 days of violence.
