An Irish-registered fishing vessel has been detained by the Naval Service for alleged irregularities

An Irish-registered fishing vessel has been detained by the Naval Service for alleged irregularities. The Strongbow 1 was detained by the LE Deirdre 50 miles south-east of Cork harbour for alleged under-recording of fish caught, incorrect completion of its logbook and failure to record all species on board.

The vessel was escorted into Waterford yesterday.
