Man found dead in unexplained circumstances in Co Donegal

A man has been found dead in unexplained circumstances in a laneway in Donegal.

The man, aged in his 50s, was discovered lying in a laneway behind a row of houses in the vicinity of Knockalla Drive in Buncrana around 7:30pm on Friday.

The body remained at the scene late on Friday night and the scene was preserved overnight.

The State Pathologist’s Office and the Garda Technical Bureau have been notified and both will attend the scene on Saturday.
