APN News & Media has reported net profits of 130.2 million Australian dollars in what is an increase of 26 per cent on 2003.
Revenues, in the company, in which Independent News & Media's has a 40 per cent stake, rose by 12 per cent to 1,283 million Australian dollars.
The company said its new
Herald on Sunday
newspaper in New Zealand has built a circulation of 100,000.
The group's New Zealand publishing division said earnings rose by 16 per cent on the back of an 11 per cent increase in sales.
APN's regional newspaper division reported 24 per cent higher profits, helped by strong growth in property and recruitment advertising.
