Noel Meade's nine-year-old has undergone a series of tests since disappointing when pulled up in the John Durkan Memorial Chase at Punchestown earlier this month.

The horse was thought to be suffering from a heart problem but vets could find nothing wrong.

Meade is keen to give his stable star more time to recover and he has pencilled in the Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup at Leopardstown on February 6th for his return.

"I don't think we will run him. We will just give him a little bit more time," he said.

"We found nothing wrong with him after that last run but it did happen and we don't want to rush him back.

"We'll just give him a bit longer and he might go for the Hennessy now."
