The Hague - Prosecutors told the UN war crimes tribunal yesterday that a former Bosnian Serb general accused of leading the 1995 Srebrenica massacre used the words "Kill each and every one . . . Do not leave a single one alive". They said that Mr Radislav Krstic issued the orders to a subordinate officer in a conversation intercepted by Bosnian forces.

The 52-year-old accused man, who is charged with genocide over the massacre of almost 8,000 people after the fall of Srebrenica, described the tape as a "total fabrication".
