Gas leak forces evacuation of Meath homes

A leak from a gas tanker caused a number of houses in Co Meath to be evacuated tonight.

A leak from a gas tanker caused a number of houses in Co Meath to be evacuated tonight.

Three fire brigades and gardaí cordoned off the scene around the damaged gas truck at Station Road in Gormanstown.

Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 6.00 p.m as a precaution.

Traffic diversions are in place.
