Gardaí are searching for a prisoner who escaped from custody while being treated in St James's Hospital yesterday.
It is understood the 26-year-old man who is from Ballymun fled at 5.20pm. He was in the custody of a number of prison officers at the time.
The man, who has not been named, is the third prisoner to escape custody in recent weeks.
