A Co Kerry secondary school has been hit by fire for the second in six weeks.

Today's fire damaged the principals' office, which is situated in a pre-fab, in the CBS secondary school in Dingle.

Gardaí are investigating the cause of the fire, which was discovered last night. They have not ruled out arson.

A number of pre-fabs were installed on the school grounds after fire seriously damaged six classrooms and offices in the 132-year-old school building in the previous fire.

The cost of the damage was estimated at around €250,000.

During an investigation into the cause of that fire on January 1 st, around 250 of the school's pupils were fingerprinted.
