The GAA have confirmed that Mayo's All-Ireland football quarter-final meeting with either Laois or Offaly has been moved back by a day to avoid a ticket crisis at Croke Park.

The Connacht champions will now play at headquarters on Sunday, August 13th., allowing Dublin to take centre stage when they face Galway or Westmeath a day earlier.

Mayo's match will form part of a double-header with the Kilkenny v Clare hurling semi-final while the Nicky Rackard Cup final will now act as a curtain raiser for the Dublin match.

The GAA's Central Games Administration Committee made the decision last night but could not confirm the rescheduling of fixtures  until this afternoon as all counties had to approve.
