Firearms seized in Dublin

Gardaí investigating organised crime in the north Dublin area have arreseted a man and seized three firearms.

Gardaí investigating organised crime in the north Dublin area have arreseted a man and seized three firearms.

A Garda spokeswoman said gardaí from Coolock drugs unit, assisted by gardaí from the Dublin Metropolitan Area Northern Region, searched a house at Tulip Court in Darndale at about 5.15pm yesterday.

Three firearms and a small amount of cannabis was seized and a man in his mid-20s was arrested.

The man is currently detained at Coolock Garda station under section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939.
