Racing: Electrocutionist will miss next month's Baileys Irish Champion Stakes after aggravating an old injury. The Godolphin-owned five-year-old met with the setback when runner-up to Hurricane Run in a thrilling finish to the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes at Ascot last month.

Although he will not go to Leopardstown for the Group One contest on September 9th, connections instead hope to prepare him for the Emirates Airline Champion Stakes at Newmarket on October 14.

Racing manager Simon Crisford told www.godolphin.com: "Electrocutionist aggravated an old splint injury in the King George which needs to be cooled out. And as a consequence, he will not run in the Irish Champion Stakes at
Leopardstown in September.

"The plan at this time is to run him in the Champion Stakes at Newmarket."
