The High Court has ordered Eircom to disclose the identities of two anonymous parties alleged to have posted “highly defamatory” material about Ryanair on a pilot website.

Ryanair has brought the case over material allegedly posted on the PPRuNe web- site, known as the Professional Pilots Rumour Network, by two anonymous parties using the pseudonyms ASFKAP and Built4Speed.

The material is false and impugns Ryanair’s excellent safety record, the airline claims. Ryanair sought the orders against Eircom because it intends to sue the two parties.
