If you've always dreamed of having a beautiful garden and you're prepared to study to get the right results you may be interested in snapping up one of the remaining places on a part-time day course run by the Dublin School of Horticulture. It's a one-year programme leading to a general certificate in horticulture accredited by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS). The course officially begins today, but it is possible to join in late. The cost is £500 including course material and it runs from now until mid-March at Taney Parish Centre in Dundrum from 10 a.m. until 4.30 p.m. This is the first of a number of RHS qualifications which the school hopes to offer. Also coming down the tracks are diploma and master's programmes. For further information contact Ciaran Burke at (01) 284 7387.
