Outreach/Access project in the Midlands area

A new access course initiative for mature students and school leavers who wish to proceed to third level will commence in Portlaoise next month. This initiative is a collaboration between Athlone Institute of Technology, NUI Galway and NUI Maynooth. An information meeting will be held in the Portlaoise Parish Centre this evening at 8pm. The course is part-time and will be free.

Unesco Course on Sustainable Development

ECO-Unesco, Ireland's environmental education and youth organisation, is offering a FETAC (Level 5) evening course on sustainable development starting on Tuesday, January 30th. The course, which is aimed at teachers, youth leaders, community leaders, environmental officers and anyone interested in learning about sustainable development through practical activities,will take place in Dublin city centre every Tuesday for 10 consecutive weeks.
