Innovative use of new technology

Dear Editor,

I enjoy reading the E&L supplement every Tuesday. In view of the fact that you often feature extracurricular and innovative activities in schools, I thought that you might be interested in the following.

We take part in a programme called the European Studies Project. As an extra to this we have become involved with the University of Liverpool. We take part in an activity called the Curriculum Enrichment Programme.

This has involved the planning and production of a magazine incorporating materials from our partner European schools using modern technology.

Next Friday (May 3rd) the director of the programme will visit our school to hear presentations from our students on the project.

I thought perhaps that other schools may be interested in hearing about what seems to be a very worthwhile exercise.
