DIT and DCU get tooled for high-tech

High-Tech machines and laser equipment worth £2 million have been presented to DIT Kevin Street and to (DCU). The equipment, donated by IBM, will put a full production line in place to facilitate and enhance education in the colleges. It will allow the engineering faculty in Kevin Street to further develop the automation elements of courses on offer at certificate, diploma and degree level. In DCU the department of mechatronics will now be able to provide students with a much more expansive range of components.
