There are just under 3,000 pharmacists registered in Ireland, 1,625 of these are female and 1,372 are male. Nearly half work in community pharmacy. Non-Irish graduates outnumber Irish graduates working in Ireland two to one.

Points required: The points for pharmacy are high, settling at 550 in the final round 2,000.

Salaries begin at about £20,000 and rise to £45,000 and beyond.
