The funeral took place in Dungarvan yesterday of the the young expectant mother killed in a road crash in Co Tipperary earlier this week.

Mary Enright (Walsh) was due to give birth to her first child in about six weeks. Instead, she was buried after a funeral Mass in Abbeyside, Dungarvan, attended by a huge crowd of family members and friends. Guards of honour were provided by members of the Abbeyside and Ballinacourty GAA clubs, as well as the Waterford ladies’ football team. The gifts brought forward during the Mass included club and inter-county jerseys, reflecting Ms Enright and her family’s deep involvement in the GAA. Ms Enright was 28 when she died after the car she was driving was involved in a collision with a car being driven by 17-year-old Robert Stoker outside Bansha in Co Tipperary. Mr Stoker also died in the crash.
