Dublin TD Mr Martin Brady (FF) wants employers to offer their staff bicycles and rainwear, or an allowance to purchase these, in an attempt to ease traffic congestion in the city.
"Apart from encouraging a healthy lifestyle, bikes will in many cases guarantee employees a set length of time to get to work in the mornings. Perhaps punctuality could be a selling point for many employers", Mr Brady said.
