A proposal to give permanent status to 130 drugs projects created by the Local Drugs Task Forces is to go before the Cabinet Sub-Committee on Social Inclusion this week.

The Minister of State responsible for the National Drugs Strategy Team, Mr Eoin Ryan, said he would be making the recommendation to mainstream the projects so as to ensure their continuation. He was speaking at an open day of the Edenmore Drug Intervention Team.
