Gaelic Games:Tyrone GAA chairman Ciaran McLaughlin has praised the dedication of Brian Dooher during his career with the county after the 36-year-old announced his retirement today.

Dooher made his senior inter-county debut in a National League game against Kildare in 1995 and went on to become a mainstay of the Tyrone side through the following decade and a half, winning three All-Ireland titles, two as captain, and two league crowns. He won an All Star award on three occasions.

“Brian’s preparation and dedication to Tyrone football over the majority of the last two decades has been incredible,” said Tyrone chairman McLaughlin. “He was the heartbeat of the most successful Tyrone senior football team that we have ever had. He was and I hope will continue to be a brilliant ambassador for Tyrone GAA.”
