Drug abuse is a growing problem in Northern Ireland that must be tackled through inter-agency co-operation, according to the Minister for Health, Social Services and Public Safety, Ms Bairbre de Brun.

Speaking at the first meeting of the Ministerial Group on Drugs in Stormont yesterday, Ms de Brun said: "While drug misuse here is not on the same scale as in other parts of Britain and Ireland, it is a growing problem and tackling drug-related harm is a very important priority for us."
