Two teens (16) held over aggravated burglary in Dublin

Occupants of house in Tallaght threatened with bread knif during incident

Two teenaged boys have been arrested for questioning after an aggravated burglary in which the occupants of a house were threatened with a bread knife.

Intruders entered the house at Rossfield in Tallaght at about 12.45am yesterday and threatened the occupants.

Following a confrontation, they fled the scene on foot empty handed, a Garda spokesman said.

One of the occupants, a man in his 40s, sustained minor injuries during the incident.

During a follow up search a short time later, gardaí arrested two males, both aged 16.

They are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Tallaght Garda station.

The spokesman said inquiries were ongoing.
