Pedestrian killed in Derry traffic incident

A man in his 20s has died after being knocked down by a car in Derry early this morning.

The man was fatally injured while walking on Glenshane Road, close to the junction of Drumahoe Road at about 1.50am.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the man before he was knocked down to contact them.

He was wearing a grey hooded top and blue jeans when he was killed.
