Man arrested for violent assault on Camden Street

Gardaí are investigating the assault on a man in his 20’s that took place in November

Gardaí at Kevin Street, Dublin, arrested a man in his late 20's in the North Dublin area on Monday in connection with an assault on Camden Street. He was detained at Kevin St Garda Station under Section 4 and later released without charge.

The Gardaí have been investigating the assault on a man (20’s) who was attacked close to the junction of Camden Street and Harrington Street on the 30th November 2014.

The assault occurred at about 5am when a man (early 20’s) was assaulted by another man also believed to be in his 20’s. The victim received serious head injuries after being kicked in the head. The suspect was described as having black hair, dark top and blue jeans.

The injured man was attended to at the scene by Dublin Fire Brigade and brought to St James's hospital where his condition is described as serious.
