Man arrested for murder after body found in Co Antrim

Detectives have opened a murder investigation after a man was found dead in Co Antrim.

The body of the 48-year-old was discovered in a house in the Broombeg View area of Ballycastle at around 8.30pm on Thursday.

A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Talbot, the senior investigating officer, said: “Our investigation is at a very early stage and we’re keen to hear from anyone with information about this heinous crime.”

A formal identification of the victim has yet to take place.
