A motorcyclist has died in a crash with a car at Lismeagh, Smithboro, Co Monaghan.
The crash happened at about 9pm last night on the N54, the main Monaghan to Clones Road outside Smithboro village.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to Cavan mortuary where a post mortem will be carried out this morning.
The driver of the car and her passenger were uninjured.
The road is closed for a forensic examination and local diversions are in place.
