Drugs worth €900,000 seized in Kildare and Dublin

Three men have been arrested after gardaí seized heroin worth €600,000 at Newlands Cross in Newbridge, Co Kildare on Wednesday evening.

A follow-up search properties Kildare and Dublin led to the discovery of cocaine and cannabis herb bringing the total value of Wednesday’s drug seizure to €900,000.

The three men, aged 40, 34 and 22, were arrested when two cars were stopped and searched at Newlands Cross at about 7.30pm on Wednesday as part of an ongoing investigation targeting drug trafficking activities in Kildare.

The three remain in custody at Clondalkin Garda station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 as amended.

The arrests were carried out by gardaí from Kildare with the support of the Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau.
