Glasgow Celtic and Irish international footballer Anthony Stokes will face trial next year in relation to an alleged assault at a Dublin nightclub.

Mr Stokes (26) of Claremont Terrace, Glasgow, was sent forward to Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on District Court charges of assaulting causing harm to Anthony Bradley (42) at Buck Whaleys on Leeson Street in June 8th, 2013.

Lorcan Staines BL, defending, indicated to Judge Martin Nolan his client was seeking a trial date.

Judge Nolan remanded Mr Stokes on continuing bail to the trial date, which is set for May 11th, 2015.
