The owner of a Cork shop who claims she is legally selling unprocessed "magic mushrooms" imported from Holland will ask the High Court on Friday for an injunction to stop customs officers seizing further shipments of the mushrooms.

Helen Stone, who owns the Funky Skunk clothing and organic products store at Hanover Place in Cork, has complained the seizures are having a bad effect on her business and have also affected her negotiations regarding a further retail premises in Limerick city.

Senior counsel Ciaran O'Loughlin, for Ms Stone, yesterday secured leave from Mr Justice Frank Clarke to bring an application on Friday for an injunction restraining customs officers from seizing the shipments or from interfering with them in any way.
