Gardai are treating as suspicious the serious head injuries suffered by a man discovered near the Galway-Clare border at the weekend.
The man, who is single, in his mid-30s and from Co Clare, was in a critical condition in Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, yesterday after his transfer there from Galway late on Saturday.
The man is reported to have been found near his car in a serious condition at around 2 a.m. on Saturday. It is understood that the man had been drinking in Tubber, Co Clare, late on Friday night. Gardai in Gort are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with information to contact them at 091-631514.
