A Chinese takeaway was fined £1,000 yesterday for breaching the food hygiene regulations. The Green Cottage, Townyard Lane, Malahide, was inspected by an environmental health officer in last December.
The officer found dirty floors and walls, food stored in such a way as to risk cross-contamination, inadequate storage for frozen goods, and no system of cleaning. The owner had since spent £25,000 on improving the premises, Dublin District Court heard.
