Gaelic games:Eoin Brosnan will take over from his Dr Crokes team-mate Colm Cooper as captain of the Kerry senior football team for 2013.

The Killarney club announced that Eoin Brosnan is their nominee at the club’s annual dinner dance on Sunday night when the club’s players were presented with their county championship and Munster club championship medals.

The 32-year-old Killarney based solicitor, who made his senior championship debut for Kerry against Tipperary in 2001, replaces Cooper, who captained Kerry in the past two years.

Brosnan is the holder of three All-Ireland senior medals and has also won two national league titles.
