Racing: Irish 2000 Guineas winner Araafa could end his career at next month's Breeders' Cup.
Jeremy Noseda's three-year-old was withdrawn from Saturday's Emirates Airline Champion Stakes in preference towards a possible tilt at the Breeders' Cup Mile on November 4th.
Tony Nerses, racing manager to owners Saleh Al Homaizi and Imad Al Sagar, told the Racing Post: "The Breeders' Cup is the only target we are thinking about now.
"The horse is fine and the ground at Newmarket wouldn't have been a problem for him. It was just that the Breeders' Cup Mile would be a better possible option."
Runner-up to George Washington in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes last time out, Araafa also has a victory in the Group One St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot to his name this season.
