Bank of Ireland is expected to announce next week that it is to shed 2,000 jobs in Ireland as part of cost-cutting measures.

Bank of Ireland is expected to announce next week that it is to shed 2,000 jobs in Ireland as part of cost-cutting measures.

The job cuts are expected to take place over three years and represent 15 per cent of the 12,000 strong workforce.

The bank is expected to announce the cost-cutting plan on Tuesday when it issue its Pre-Close Statement.
