An article headed "Clogherhead dispute goes to the LRC" in Wednesday's editions referred to a dispute between SIPTU and Red Sail Frozen Foods Ltd.

The implication that Atlanco was not adhering to the National Minimum Wage requirements is totally false and inaccurate. Atlanco has always adhered to all employment legislation.

The comparison of the two rates quoted within the article was misleading and inaccurate.

The article implied that Atlanco workers were being paid below the average operative rate of other domestic workers, which was completely inaccurate. The amount paid per hour is at least equivalent to the local operative working at the same level in Ireland.

The implicit profit margin by virtue of the inaccurate figures published is accepted as incorrect, and it is noted that the actual margin is equivalent to that charged by most temporary employment agencies in the same field.

It is accepted that any ongoing dispute between the client mentioned in the article and SIPTU or the Labour Relations Commission no longer involves Atlanco.
