Madrid - Police carried out controlled explosions at a postal sorting office here yesterday to neutralise parcel bombs each containing 50 grams of explosive addressed to prominent Spanish journalists.

Investigators believe the booby-traps were sent by an anarchist group supporting common criminals serving sentences in maximum-security jails. --(AFP)
