Taoiseach Bertie Ahern travels to Spain today for talks with Prime Minister José Luis Rodriguez Zapatero.
Mr Ahern will lay at wreath for the victims of the March 11th terrorists bombs in Madrid at the memorial in Retiro Park.
The talks between the two leaders will focus on a range of issues, including the potential crisis facing the European Union if the French electorate rejects the EU Constitution in a referendum.
They will also discuss the future financing of the European Union and the reform of the United Nations.
