Altogether 67 projects will benefit under Access II, the Arts and Culture Capital Enhancement Support Scheme to support cultural infrastructure. This funding tranche is a successor to the Access I scheme, introduced in August 2001, which allocated more than €43 million.

Among the main beneficiaries who received over €1 million each were the Cork Opera House (€1.5 million); West Cork Arts Centre (€1.5 million); the Royal Hibernian Academy in Dublin (€1.75 million); the Smock Alley Theatre project in Dublin (€1.8 million); the Focus Theatre (€1.3 million); Solas Picture House in Galway (€2 million); Kilkenny Integrated Cultural Facility (€2 million) and the Niland Model Arts Centre in Sligo (€1.75 million).
