Hyderabad - Thirty-one people have died in floods in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, officials said yesterday.
Uttar Pradesh officials said major rivers were in spate in the province adjoining the Indian capital and added that relief and rescue operations were under way. They said the 31 died in the past 48 hours in eight flooded Uttar Pradesh districts.
