When the duck met the Dobermann

We’re very taken by the photographs by Charles Sainsbury-Plaice in this month’s Country Life magazine, of “extraordinary animal friendships”. Inside, there’s a pet albino hedgehog seated beside a terrier; a cockerel strolling around with a cat; and a tame fawn among a pack of hounds. Now we know this is a terribly, terribly British phenomenon in a terribly, terribly British magazine but it has an undeniable ahhhh factor.

Therefore, we would like to invite readers to send photographs of your own pets and their unlikely companions to magazine@irishtimes.com, by February 1st, and we will devise our own photo shoot. All creatures great and small welcome.
