Clodagh Hannon and Isobel Smith of the Tramyard Gallery in Dalkey are hosting a giant sale today and tomorrow that will feature work by names such as Charlie Whisker, Bernadette Madden and John Shinnors. They are clearing out their stock room, which means happy hunting for cash-strapped art lovers – you’ll find paintings from €50 to €200. All the pieces have been reduced by 70 per cent.

The sale isn’t just about art – the Tramyard has invited a host of fashion designers such as Deborah Veale, Quin Donnelly, Glynis Robins (work pictured right) and Rachel Mackay to include a select number of past-season creations, again all discounted by 70 per cent.

Make Up Forever is including professional brushes and kits, also reduced, and there will be a table piled high with semi-precious stone jewellery.

The surprise star of the event could be a selection of hand-stitched tribal fabrics from Tanzania, fashioned into cushions and throws – almost art works in themselves. The gallery is open from 10am to 6pm today and 12pm to 6pm tomorrow. The Tramyard Gallery, 14 Castle Street, Dalkey, Co Dublin, 01-2351346.
