Routes to avoid during the week ahead
DUBLIN: Newhaggard-Rush/ Church Rd (known locally as Baleally Lane) closed until Friday, July 2nd; part of Rogerstown Lane will also close at entrance to Balally Landfill; alternative routes; access Baleally Lane from Blakes Cross-Skerries Rd (R127) and Rogerstown Lane via Lusk/Rush Rd (R128).
Queens Rd, Windsor Tce, Newtownsmith and Park Rd close for bridge work 7pm-7am from June 18th to June 21st and from June 25th to June 28th; alternative route via York Rd, Tivoli Rd, Corrig Rd, Eden Rd; traffic plan with diversions signposted.
Ballinteer Rd closed from roundabout to junction with Ballinteer Rd/Kilmacud Rd Upper; alternative routes; eastbound traffic diverted at roundabout along Ballinteer Rd, Wychkham Bypass and Sandyford Rd; westbound traffic diverted along Dundrum Bypass, Wychkham Bypass and Ballinteer Rd.
WESTMEATH: Temporary lights on N6 just west of Kinnegad until end of July at least; delays especially during peak hours. Lane restrictions westbound on N4 Mullingar Bypass for about 11 weeks; use old Dublin Rd through town to avoid delays.
CORK: Windmill Rd closed for resurfacing from 9.30am tomorrow to 5pm on Saturday; Dublin St and Thomas Davis St one-way inbound until June 30th for street works; Shandon St one-way outbound from junction with Blarney St for urban renewal scheme; Oliver Plunkett St Lr one-way from Clontarf St to Customs House St.
DONEGAL: New one-way systems in Killybegs town; part of town traffic plan.
WATERFORD: Works at Ashe Rd - Matty's Hill until further notice; Mall Lane closed until Tuesday, November 16th; diversions in operation. Adelphi Quay closed next Saturday; diversions in operation.
LIMERICK: Major diversion on Lr Shannon St/Henry St until next Wednesday between 8pm and 6am except Saturday and Sunday; diversion signposted; traffic for north of city (Ennis Rd, Condell Rd) from O'Connell St, Roches St, Mallow St, O'Connell Ave and Henry St should use Shannon Bridge.
GALWAY: Works on main N18 in Gort until at least mid-July from Monday to Friday 7.30am-7.30pm; shuttle system in operation.
CARLOW: Daily works on Castledermot Rd, Tullow, 8am-8pm from Tullow Bridge to Killerig Cross for another 7 weeks. Long delays expected.
OFFALY: Traffic lights on Main St, Ferbane, during sewerage scheme; severe delays expected until Friday.
TIPPERARY: Works on N7 near Birdhill for another three months; control in place; expect delays.
