Location: rear of the Cottages, Kinsealy, Lane, Malahide, Co Dublin. Proposed development: partial demolition of the side wall to the rear of house, erect 32 residential units and a shop and office. Applicant: Tony Browne.


Location: lands to the west of Kinsealy Lane, Malahide, Co Dublin. Proposed development: 22 dwellings with car-parking, site works and landscaping. Applicant: Birchwell Ltd.



Location: former Viking Adventure Centre and Museum, 15-19 Essex Street West, Temple Bar, Dublin 8. Proposed development: Girls School area (protected structure) - change of use from exhibition hall/museum to a school of acting and associated office spaces. Remove internal stairs and toilets, new three-storey stairs and stair enclosure to rear courtyard (Blind Quay Courtyard side), and modifications and extension to lift shaft and insertion of new dormer-style office at second floor/roof level. Internal modifications include inserting new partitions and doors. Black Box area - new stairs and lift enclosure serving the new theatre in the St Michael and St Johns Church and associated modifications to theatre space in the Black Box and first floor kitchens and servery and conversion of theatre bar/café. New circulation, connecting doorways to St Michael and St John Church. St Michael and St Johns Church (protected structure) - change of use from exhibition hall/museum and banquet hall to 200-seat theatre. Remove concrete and steel 1990s first floor, reinstate original floor level, open up original entrance doors and windows to Essex Street West, insert first floor gallery, opening and formation of new connecting doorways, lowering the lower ground floor floor-level, new lower ground floor support space to include toilets, ticket box and changing rooms. Location: site of 1.31 hectares at Orwell Park, Rathgar, Dublin 6 (site forms part of St Joseph's retirement and residential centre at 47-53 Orwell Park and Dartry House, protected structure, Orwell Park, Dublin 6). Proposed development: demolish buildings to north of Dartry House and fronting onto Orwell Woods and Orwell Park for 59 apartments (12 one-beds, 25 two-beds and 22 three-beds) in four four-storey blocks. Convert stables/outbuildings of Dartry House (protected structure) for four one-bed apartments and four two-bed apartments. Location: Grove Lane, Clare Hall, Malahide Road, Dublin 17. Proposed development: 44 residential units in three apartment blocks. Block G: two-storey block with eight one-beds, four two-beds and two two-bed duplexes. Block H: two storeys with four one-beds, four two-beds and one two-bed duplex. Block J: two and three storeys with nine one-beds, 10 two-beds and two two-bed duplexes. Provision of 65 basement car-parking spaces, landscaping and site works. Applicant: Albany Homes Ltd.

Location: Blackhorse House Industrial Estate, Blackhorse Avenue, Dublin 7. Proposed development: demolish buildings for apartment development of 70 units (13 one-beds, 46 two-beds, one two-bed duplex and 10 three-beds). Provision of 68 car-parking spaces and site works. Applicant: Vincent Maguire and Liam Moran.

Location: north-east site, Bond Drive Extension, Dublin 3. Proposed development: double level one/two-storey portal frame building for four helicopter workshop/hangers with office space to first floor and side of building, and 15-metre by 15-metre helipad to north/rear of site. Single storey portal frame truck garage to east/side of site. Truck wash bays to south-east corner of site and fuel pumps to centre of site and linked helicopter fuel dispenser to north-east of site. Provision of 24 car-parking spaces and 14 truck spaces. Applicant: Molloy & Sherry Transport Ltd.

Location: site adjacent to main entrance of Glasnevin Cemetery, Finglas Road, Dublin 11. Proposed development: three-storey heritage centre of two storeys over lower ground floor/basement and including exhibition/display area, lecture theatre, cafeteria, public toilets and areas for staff and grounds maintenance. Restor, refurbish and minor alterations to former Superintendents Lodge on Finglas Road. Demolish modern extension and other mid 20th century structures, including staff toilets, locker room for ground staff, memorials workshop and concrete block screen walls. Provision of 45 car-parking spaces, wider entrance gates from Finglas Road (this involves demolition of part of the stone boundary wall), replace part of the stone boundary wall on Finglas Road, refurbish gates and railings, new paving adjacent to heritage centre, former Superintendent's Lodge and the Mortuary Chapel.
