Dublin 24/from €345,000: Sixty-two houses and duplexes go on sale today at Hunterswood, Ellier Development's ongoing scheme off Ballycullen Road at Knocklyon, Dublin 24. Sherry FitzGerald New Homes will be opening showhouses today.

Thirty-one three and four-bedroom houses are available, priced from €345,000 and €359,000 respectively. Detached three-storey three /four-bedroom houses cost from €410,000.

So far, Ellier has built over 1,000 new homes on a substantial tract of land which they own in the Dublin foothills, creating developments such as Woodstown Village, Knocklyon Gate and Hunterswood. Key points here are proximity to a junction with the M50 and bus routes to the city.

The architectural concept at Hunterswood was to combine high density with interesting building materials, narrow cycle paths and a village atmosphere. The standard of finish is high and viewers are invariably impressed with the smart contemporary interiors.

External finishes are a combination of timber window frames and sheeting, brick and roughcast render, with large windows to maximise light. Landscaping is well under way at Hunterswood and existing mature trees have been added to as the development has progressed.

The houses - 31 in total - are in an assortment of three and four-bedroom designs, varying in size from 92-123 sq m (992-1,321 sq ft). Some are three-storey, with an interesting room layout, others are bright corner houses with good gardens.

Interiors vary according to unit-type, but have good quality bathroom ware and the latest kitchen styles, with solid internal doors and chunky chrome handles.

Across the road in Woodstown Village is a small complex of local facilities, including a grocery store, creche and medical centre.
