Golf villas score with the punters

SIZE MATTERS, it seems, if you are in the market for a luxury golf villa in the Irish countryside.

The company developing Killeen Country Club near Dunshaughlin in Co Meath has had a slew of enquiries about the most expensive houses planned for the estate, rather than the smaller, courtyard homes.

Most of the calls have been about the individual sites which cost between €1.35 million and €2.35 million.

After that, the house is likely to cost a few million to build but, according to on-site sales manager Ernie Mooney, the cost is not an overriding issue.

The developer has completed a range of houses on the estate for punters to admire. Viewing is by appointment with Mr Mooney at 0818 771100.
