If you want to get a toehold in Ireland's most exclusive country club, the K Club, in Straffan, Co Kildare, before the Ryder Cup is played there in 2005, then put your name on the waiting list for one of 60 apartments planned for the grounds. The holiday homes are to be developed in an old walled garden, close to the existing courtyard, which was converted into apartments several years ago. If a one-bedroom, or even a two-bedroom apartment isn't big enough, you can hold tight for large detached houses which are planned for another part of the extensive grounds.
